Bagmen Flood Moscow (1917)


Description: A train carrying soldiers from the front and ‘bagmen’ with their black-market grain. Private grain traders or smugglers called bagmen bringing grain from the countryside were often the only source of food for city dwellers in the first year of the revolution. Historical Footage, 1917.
