Homeless Children, 1926-1927 (1927)
Description: A children’s labor colony in Bolshevo, 1926-1927. Homeless children arrived by railroad at the colony in warehouse cars. The children are given food. Children at the reception point. Boys smoking. Trucks with children arrive at the front gate. Children getting their hair cut. Boys after their hair cuts, in new caps and shirts.

Description: Devoted to the reforging of homeless children into socialist citizens, this film (one of the first Soviet sound movies) begins with a classic scene taken from the life of the Moscow street gangs at the end of NEP.
