The Match Is Protested Again
The morning after the replay, the Tbilisi komsomol paper Akhalgazrda Komunisti filed its own Georgian-language account. Where Krasnyi sport found Usov's penalty correctly awarded and his refereeing excellent, the Tbilisi correspondent saw it differently: a wholly improper penalty given against Dorokhov, and three undeniable penalty calls that the referee, somehow, failed to notice.

On 30 September another snowfall came to Moscow; a sharp, biting wind was blowing.
Despite the unfavorable weather, a great crowd gathered at the "Dinamo" Stadium. Meeting one another once again in the All-Union Cup tournament were Moscow's "Spartak" and Tbilisi's "Dinamo."
The struggle on the field took on a sharp character from the start. The forwards of Tbilisi "Dinamo" burst with lightning speed into the Muscovites' penalty area and created several critical moments. Akimov in the space of five minutes parried three dangerous] balls. From the 14th minute the advantage passes to Spartak's side. Exploiting an error by the defenders, Spartak's Glazkov breaks through, and in the 16th minute scores the first ball, and in the 25th minute scores the second. Five minutes later Paichadze skillfully manages to break through the ranks of the defenders, and with an angled strike pulls one back.
The first half ended in Spartak's favor — 2:1.
In the 6th minute of the second half Dorokhov takes the ball off Protasov's feet. The referee Usov calls a wholly improper penalty. Glazkov scores the third goal. The Tbilisi side go on the attack. The play proceeds without let-up in front of Spartak's goal. In the penalty area the Dinamo forwards were brought down, but the home side's [referee] "happened" not to notice three undeniable penalties. In the closing minutes Berezhnoi scored a second ball with a particularly elegant strike. Spartak won the encounter with a score of 3:2.
