Description: The Soviet Union, summer, 1936. Civil War hero Sergei Petrovich Kotov, with wife and daughter are a happy family relaxing at their country dacha. Their idyll is joined by Maroussia's relatives, a large and eccentric family of Chekhovian aristocrats. The magic circle of the dacha will soon be broken by the reality of the Soviet power that Kotov helped to build.
